delsi Moleta (they/she)

delsi (they/she) is a proud queer advocate, educator, and event producer with nearly 15 years of experience in the LGBTQIA+ sector. Their work spans activism, filmmaking, teaching, community engagement, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion training.

They have collaborated with leading organisations, including Minus18, Switchboard Victoria, Joy94.9, Midsumma Festival, Transgender Victoria, and the Rainbow Network at ARCSHS, La Trobe University.

As the founder of Unicorns, delsi created one of Australia’s most beloved queer events - now 12 years strong - celebrated for its commitment to accessibility and inclusion.

delsi made history as the first Australian LGBTI person to successfully take legal action against anti-queer online defamation and continues to be a strong voice against harassment.

Their documentary Femme screened at six festivals in 2024, including the Melbourne Queer Film Festival and the Social Impact Film Festival in California, earning praise for its exploration of queer femme identities.

Recognised for their contributions to the queer community, delsi has received multiple awards, held the title of Ms Melbourne Rubber, placed as First Runner-Up at the first all-gender International Mx Rubber Competition, and was featured in the SBS documentary Asking for It as a leader in consent-driven event culture.

Currently, delsi is leading the development of WorkSafe’s WorkWell Being Valued LGBTQIA+ Workplace Educational Toolkit, a groundbreaking initiative helping Victorian leaders create safer, more inclusive workplaces.
